About Terrapin Station
We are committed to providing our guests with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and comfortable accommodations. Our property is set at the bottom of a large mountain, surrounded by the distinct Costa Rican landscape of hills and jungle, just up the hill from Carrillo Beach, in a safe neighborhood.
Each morning, as the sun begins to brighten the skies, families of monkeys will greet you with their morning calls. The lush premise also has a fruit tree grove that includes bananas, plantain, and papaya, which we harvest, frequently attracting beautiful local tropical birds. From the pool deck, you can often see these tropical birds, adding to the vibrant experience.
We have a pair of iguanas that sunbathe in the backyard trees and toucans who make regular visits. During the day, flocks of large macaws make their daily migration to and from Carrillo Beach. Our journey began with a vision to create a home away from home for guests seeking affordability, comfort, and convenience during their travels, and we are constantly striving to improve our property and the experiences of our valued guests.
